How we work with our community
Banglatown UK is built on the trust of readers across Brick Lane, Tower Hamlets, Whitechapel, East London, and every Bangladeshi community in the UK. We treat each tip, photograph, and letter as a piece of our shared archive — handled with care, verified where possible, and credited generously.
We do not publish anonymous submissions, we never sell reader data, and we are happy to discuss sensitive stories off-record before you decide whether to go on the record. The newsroom is small, but the door is always open.

How do I submit a story or event listing?
Email [email protected] with a short summary, any images, and your contact details. Include the date and location for events. We aim to reply within five working days, sometimes sooner for time-sensitive stories.
Can I submit writing in Bangla or Sylheti?
Yes. We welcome pieces in Bangla and Sylheti alongside English, and our editors will work with you on translation if needed. Bilingual voices strengthen our reporting and reflect the communities we serve.
Do you accept sponsored content or paid features?
We accept a small number of clearly labelled partnerships each year. All sponsored content is marked, editorially independent from our newsroom, and subject to our standards policy. Disclosure is non-negotiable.
How do I report a correction or complaint?
